I am the director, producer, and writer for my very first feature film project called "Haven". This unique title sounds similar to the word "heaven", which has similar context to the story of this film. It is about three friends going on one last road trip together, a final moment when they can share their utmost feelings about each other, a joyful experience that they can share together for one last time. It is a story about the youthful mind, the nervous feeling of embarking on a new experience, a new moment in life.
Sound is a crucial element in this movie. There will be many elements where the sounds of nature mimics chaos, and sometimes serenity. Although this movie has a lot of dialogue, there will be scenes without dialogue that emphasizes on the nature of sound, such as the sound of waves, rain, wind, trees, and more.
Although I am currently just a college student from America, I tend to have mixed feelings about my cultural background, a mix between the Korean and the American culture. Therefore I chose to write my sincere and honest message in English first, then translated in Korean. Forgive my elementary level in Korean. I always regret that I have not taught myself Korean earlier. I could have written this messsage in Korean in the beginning, but I believe truth is the most important thing from a person.
