We Are Looking For Actors For Lead/Supporting Role in a Short Film!

Hi!

I am Somyung Kang, the director of this short film.

 

We are currently preparing a short film aiming to submit it to domestic and international film festivals, and we are looking for actors to play its lead and supporting roles!

 

Eligibility:

-We are looking for individuals with theater experience or those who are currently enrolled in or have graduated from acting/theater schools.

-Must speak native American.

 

Note: There are few intimate scenes between the two lead characters, though not many. (Please refer to the detailed information below)

 

-Title: A Couple Story

-Genre: Romance, Drama

-Running Time: 20-30 minutes

-Logline: "A Couple's Story" is a short film that portrays the story of a couple, Henry and Nicole, who are models living together, and the pressures and stress on their relationship as they navigate personal ambitions, jealousy, and misunderstandings.

 

-->> Important!) There are 2-3 intimate scenes between Henry and Nicole. These include scenes where they hug or kiss on the cheek, and a scene in the bedroom where they are intimate and kissing, but stop before becoming more intimate due to a knock on the door. These are not explicit nor highly suggestive scenes but rather depicts a light intimacy between a married couple or close lovers. Please take this into consideration before you apply!

 

Character Details:

Henry (30s): A top model deeply in love with Nicole. He is loving and warm but becomes jealous and suspicious, eventually leading to anger and conflict.

Nicole (20s): Henry's girlfriend and a struggling model. She is loving, warm, and bright, but her patience reaches its limit, leading to a breakup with Henry.

Supporting Character) Hyunpil (30s): A model agency manager and Nicole's ex-boyfriend. He regrets hurting Nicole in the past.

 

We would appreciate it if you could send an acting video freely expressing the desired character you wish to apply for a role if possible:

• Henry: A loving and warm character showing jealousy and suspicion, eventually leading to an outburst of anger and a fight.
• Nicole: A loving, warm, and bright character who reaches her limit of patience, leading to a fight with Henry and deciding to break up.
• Supporting Character) Hyunphil: Expressing regret for hurting Nicole during a conversation after running into her by chance.

 

Payment

The fee is 100,000 KRW per shooting day. -Meals provided. (Accommodation provided if necessary upon discussion)

 

Shooting Details-

Shooting Period: 3-5 days, starting late July or mid-August.

Time: To be announced later

Location: Yongin, Gyeonggi-do (Location may change, in which case we will notify in advance)

• Mostly in studio/pension/or house (indoor shooting)
